Happy Holidays, Mr. Bashful

This always was a danger in my line of work but that doesn’t make it any less annoying when it happens.

I caught COVID19. Coronavirus. The meme flu. It’s not fun, but I’m grateful for the health system for taking care of me so well. Needless to say, I’m fine, but it’s painful. I’m not exactly working right now, for obvious reasons, so theoretically I have more time for my personal endeavors like this, though an annoying symptom I’ve found for the virus is that I’m exhausted all the time, both in terms of needing sleep and also being unable to focus on tasks such as writing. For instance, even though I normally pride myself on writing quickly, this very blog post has so far taken me about an hour to write between writing sentences and sitting back, staring into space.

I’m happy to answer any questions in the comments, but I don’t think I can talk too much more in this post. I have the holiday season to recover and all in all, I’m doing alright. I’ll bounce back from this, and I’ll get back to having no excuse for no new updates instead of having this excuse. 😉 I’ll talk to you all next week.

  1. Really sorry to hear this. From all accounts there is no ‘typical’ course for this infection – or at least not a very clear one – so I hope your infection is very short lived.

Look forward to despatches from the Covid front, as well as new stories, as and when your strength allows, but DO NOT try to do too much too soon.

  2. I really hope you get well soon, both so you don’t feel like shit literally and mentally about not writing as much as you want. Take care of yourself and don’t worry about us, we can wait, worry about you.
