Okay! There is so much I need to address in this blog. So much. It’s almost overwhelming thinking of where to begin.
Beginning here – yes, I’m alive. I’m sorry if I scared anyone. I’m fine, I’m good, I’m dandy. I didn’t mean to go radio silent out of nowhere – I won’t go into specifics but there was a long stretch of time where things happened and I had zero access to a computer. I’m sorry that I didn’t get the blogs, let alone the written pieces, out in a timely manner. I’m sorry there was no forewarning in that regard either.
Second point – my short story, When in Toronto, has been published today! I hope you all enjoy it. The first draft and the second draft ended up looking nothing alike, which was new for me, so I took some new directions with this story, and I hope you all enjoy it. I would love to hear any and all feedback, either here in the comments, or privately via email (bashfulscribe@gmail.com).
Thirdly – the world kind of went to pot while I wasn’t looking, didn’t it? I hope that all of you are keeping safe and practicing social distancing. I hope that another free story can help do my part to ease all of our troubles in these trying times. I also understand that the coming months will also be difficult on us all financially, so given that and also my own guilt for not posting for a month, I have suspended all billing for the month of April. All of my patrons will not be charged. This story is a freebie, as it were. I would rather your money goes into making sure you and your loved ones are secure. I hope that extra money isn’t necessary to make ends meet, but on the off chance that it is, I’d rather that money go back to you. Whether you’ve given me money or just your time, you as a reader mean a lot to me.
This week, and this entire month, has been kind of overwhelming to me, so I’ll leave my comments on my most recent work for now. I normally post on Thursdays, so perhaps I’ll make another post then. For now, I ‘ll leave it there. It’s good to be back, I missed you all. I’ll talk to you against next week.
